Mr. Yount has gained distinction as a premier private investigator assisting prominent criminal defense and trial lawyers with major crimes and high profile media cases. He has investigated more than 1000 cases during his 40 year career, including homicide cases and 1st Degree Murder cases involving the death penalty. Mr. Yount and his staff have cleared defendants falsely accused of crimes and many cases have resulted in reduced charges and plea bargins.                                 

Mr. Yount started his career in 1971 as a crirminal investigator with the United States Air Force. In 1975 he departed from the Air Force and immediately began his career as a private investigator in the nation's capital. He has taken several criminal justice courses and is a graduate of numerous military and civilian training programs.                                                                                                                                                                                          

In 1981 he relocated to Charlottesville and established Yount Investigations.
